Timinisha Conti

bartow Graduation Candidate Advocate

Timinisha was born and raised in the Bronx, New York. In New York, she was a computer tutor while studying at Bronx Community College. Timinisha  moved to Florida in 2004 and worked for the Department of Juvenile Justice from 2006 until 2008. She learned how to interact with young adults in many different areas, support them as they pursued their goals, and helped them learn everyday skills. Timinisha comes from a family of educators, so she understands the love and passion one must have to be in the education field. Because of this, Timinisha is proud to be a Graduate Candidate Advocate at Polk Acceleration Academies.

Favorite or most significant year in school and why: My favorite year of school would be my sophomore year because that was the year I discovered ‘ME’ and I also became an aunt for the first time.

Favorite book: My favorite historical book that was turned into a movie is “Of Mice and Men”.

Favorite food: My favorite food is shrimp, and I love it cooked, grilled, fried, or sautéed.  (Is there any other way? If so, I am a believer…)
