Alvin was born in New Jersey and was the first in his family to attend and graduate from college.  Alvin graduated from ‘The Great Bethune Cookman University’ with a degree in International Studies. One of Alvin's life goals and passions is to be an advocate for the class of society he hails from. This led him to get involved in Student Government Association in college. Most of Alvin's career experience has been in grassroots organizations for the state and national elections. This experience has allowed him the ability to understand the need for proactive responsibility in civic engagement. In other words, being a productive citizen for the common good of our city, state and nation.

Upon finishing his last contracted agreement for the 2014 election cycle, Alvin decided to dedicate at least a year and a half to Polk County. To stay true to his mandate, Alvin became a Graduate Candidate Advocate for Polk Acceleration Academy. In the short span of time that Alvin has been with Polk Acceleration Academy, he has experienced the success of at least four Graduation Candidate Advocates who will receive a high school diploma. He believes that this is due to his supervision and the excellent team support structures in place at Polk Acceleration Academy-Ridge. Alvin believes education sparks the light in our eyes and brightens the world with love. Through this connection, we have the perfect checks and balances.

Alvin's favorite book: The Mis-Education of the Negro by Carter G. Woodson. The book was given as a gift to Alvin in high school by his late father.

Favorite grade in school: The fourth grade due to his teacher, Mr. Lewis. Simply stated, Mr. Lewis believed in Alvin.

Favorite movie:  City of God
